Achilles Kouamé was born in Côte d’Ivoire.

The slums, the urban scenes of Africa, Canada and elsewhere, driving themes of his pictorial gestures, offer him an abundance of characters, objects, graffitis; colors especially. However, he breaks with the expected photographic approach thanks to the peculiarity of his writing technique which castrates any luminous glow. Indeed, he refuses to make his oil painting sparkle. The latter is treated according to an art, of which he keeps the secret, which gives his touch matte shades with a strong aged content.
